Mugatu - I Feel Like I'm Taking Crazy Pills![RANT]
So, lately the buzz is that some nutty bloggers are deciding to turn off the comment spam protection on their blogs on December 15th, in order to show how how important and effective their anti-spam plugins are, and why they need them. They are inviting other bloggers to join in the melee. Let’s see…continue with my peaceful spamfree life, or open up the floodgates of Hades and let whatever bot-linkwhores and spampimps post their garbage comments, links, etc on my sites? Are you kidding!? HELL NO!!! There are SO many reasons why this is a bad idea. SEO-savvy readers will know this, but ever heard of linking to bad neighborhoods, screwing with your search engine rankings, etc? Yeah…No thanks! I already know that I need my anti-spam plugins — I don’t need 18,000 spam comments in one day to remind me. I hate spam, and I’m keeping my spam defenses firmly in place.

Ok, better now…Felt good to get that off my chest. :)
